IMPD investigating dead body found in east side basement

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 28, 2014)– Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) have found a dead body in the basement of a home.

On Friday at 12:40 p.m., IMPD officers were dispatched to a home in the 600 block of North Linwood Avenue on a death investigation.

IMPD confirms that the victim is Shannon Kleeman, 21.

Kleeman’s sister was looking for the her at the home and found blood in the basement. Her neighbors were alerted by her screams, and came to see what was wrong.

The sister told police she found Kleeman in the basement, possibly deceased. It appeared that Kleeman had gunshot wounds. IMPD is still investigating the death.
