IMPD Community Day

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department’s Community Affairs Branch celebrated its First Annual Community Day at the JTV Hill Family Center.  Kids and their parents had the opportunity to check out mare than 25 vendors with healthcare, mentoring, and community relations information.

“We’re always here for the community,” Cmdr. Randal Taylor said. “Making sure the young people can get on a good path or stay on the right path. Encourage education and all those things but to make sure we have great relationships with them that will last a lifetime.”

Local youth also had the chance to sign up for programs through the Police Athletic League.  They plan to introduce new programs involving chess and theatre.

Local Companies also donated items to help improve the center for the event.
