IMPD investigating string of armed robberies on city’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 31, 2014) – Indianapolis Metropolitan police are investigating a string of armed robberies on the city’s northwest side Monday morning.

The robberies occurred in the area of West Pike Plaza and Lafayette Road.

The first robbery happened around 2:45 a.m. with the other two incidents occurring only minutes apart. Two men and a woman were robbed in three separate incidents; in each case, two men jumped the victim, pistol-whipped him/her and stole their belongings. Police said all three robberies were related.
