INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 1, 2014) – Fortis College in Indianapolis gets a top accreditation, making its nursing students a top pick in the industry.

Fortis College was just awarded the ACEN accreditation by the Accreditation Commission of Education in Nursing.

Campus President Dr. James Cox says this is a huge win for the college because ACEN is the gold standard in nursing accreditation, giving Fortis students a competitive edge.

This opens up opportunities for students to do clinical rotations with some of the biggest and best hospitals in the country.

Fortis College is a leading post-secondary network of colleges and institutes engaging students in a powerful learning and training experience. It offers programs for nursing assistants, medical assistants, pharmacy techs, plus cooling/heating and ventilation services.

In the next 5-10 years the nursing industry will demand up to 30,000 new nurses in Indiana and Fortis College is now poised to help meet that demand.
