Driver leaves passenger trapped in car after crash

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 3, 2014) — A driver crashes his SUV, jumps out and runs, leaving his passenger trapped in the vehicle.

It happened early Saturday morning at 38th Street and Shadeland Avenue.

Police say around 2 a.m., a Navigator SUV collided with a Ford Explorer in the intersection. The woman driving the Explorer was not injured, but the passenger in the Navigator had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

Meanwhile, police are looking for the driver who ran away from the scene.
