IMPD officers recovering after being hit by drunk driver

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 3) — Two IMPD officers are recovering at Methodist Hospital after their squad car was hit by a drunk driver as they were parking.

Crews were dispatched to North Gladstone just after 12:30 AM Saturday. The driver of the car that hit the officers initially fled the scene, but was apprehended shortly after.

Jeremy Marble has been preliminary charged with failure to stop at an accident causing serious bodily injury, operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury, leaving the scene of a crash while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury.
