INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 10, 2014) — Thousands of Hoosiers put their best foot forward to raise money for babies on Mother’s day weekend.

Saturday’s March of Dimes walk raises funds to help families with premature babies, preterm babies or babies with birth defects.

They walked at White River State Park, downtown and the money raised will go to help prevent the all- too-common problem of premature birth.

The funds raised will also go toward lowering Indiana’s infant mortality rate.
