LAFAYETTE, Ind. (May 10, 2014) — Lafayette police say they’ve arrested two teens responsible for several burglaries in the Columbian Park Neighborhood.

Officers responded to a burglary call on South 31st Street around 6:44 Friday evening. When they arrived in the area, they spotted two male teens, one of them wearing a black backpack. The officers stopped the teens and detained them until neighbors positively identified the teens as the ones who broke into the home on South 31st Street.

After investigating, officers determined the teens were responsible for at least eight burglaries and attempted burglaries in the area, dating back to April 25.

Lafayette police ask anyone with more information on these crimes to give them a call.
