Vehicle sought in connection with death of Indianapolis man

HENRY COUNTY, Ind (May 14, 2014)– Henry County police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle possibly connected to the homicide of a 23-year-old Indianapolis man.

Zachary Soots’ body was found just off of Grant City Road in southwest Henry County on April 14.

On May 2, Edward H. Thompson, of Indianapolis, and Melissa York, of Fairland, were arrested in connection with Soots death.

Investigators have asked the public to look for a silver or tan four door 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. The Blazer is believed to have a connection to Soots’ death.

The vehicle was last seen in north western Shelby County on April 16 and had an Indiana temporary tag number of 3992766. Police say it could have an Indiana plate number of 164BLB. The Blazer could possibly have damaged or broken out glass in the rear side of the vehicle.
