INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 16, 2014)– Hail fell across many counties in Indiana Friday, as chilly air rolled through the Hoosier state. Here are some photos sent in by our viewers!
The combination of chilly air vs. May sunshine Friday produced a ‘measles’ effect on the radar. Showers became more numerous during the daytime hours, activated by the May sunshine. Freezing temperature are only 1 mile up, so any rain showers that develop can easily produce some brief, small hail.
