UPDATE | Man arrested in fatal Coke Lot shooting ahead of Indy 500

SPEEDWAY (May 24, 2014) — Police have arrested a suspect after an overnight shooting in the Coke Lot next to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Speedway police arrested 19-year-old Avory Johnson of Indianapolis in connection with the deadly shooting of Max Levine, 25, of Kokomo.

Witnesses told FOX59 they heard several gunshots just after 2 a.m.  Police said it started as a fight that escalated quickly. When they arrived, they found Levine was shot twice. He was pronounced dead on scene.
