Victim in critical condition after hit-and-run on city’s northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 29, 2014)– Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers are on the scene of a hit-and-run on the city’s northwest side.

Just after 8 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to Tara Townhouses in the 3300 block of Ashley Ln., just east of Moller Rd. on 34th St. on a report of a hit-and-run.

When officers arrived, they located an adult female in the middle of the street with serious injuries. Officers were advised that an SUV fled the scene after striking the female. EMS personnel immediately transported the victim to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
