Storms fire up again this afternoon…better chance for downtown Indianapolis

(May 29, 2014) – Heavy rain and storms raked the northern third of Indiana yesterday with torrential downpours, small hail, lightning and gusty winds.  Here is a look at some of the communities hit the hardest with rain:

The boundary that prompted these storms Wednesday is now shifting south and will give better storm chances for Indianapolis, along I-70 and points south, starting after lunch.

Here is a look of what it should look like by 3 p.m. today:

High pressure moves in tonight and drives rain chances south and west (out of state) for the upcoming weekend.  Outdoor time is a must for Friday night, Saturday and Sunday…lots of sunscreen will be needed though!
