Police still receiving tips in Spierer investigation three years after disappearance

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (June 2, 2014)– The Bloomington Police Department has been investigating the case for a period of three years as of June 3, 2014.

As of June 2, 2014, 282 tips have been received by the Department since the last update was provided last year at this time.

The most recent information provided to BPD was on May 29, 2014.

The following statement is offered by the Department regarding the tips received and the status of the case.

“While the number of tips received may not be at the level they were just after Lauren’s disappearance, it is important to note that tips are still coming in as evidenced by the fact that information was just provided in the last few days. BPD investigators continue to follow-up on information that comes in and our commitment to the case is unwavering. We remain hopeful that someone with knowledge of the circumstances surrounding Lauren’s disappearance will do the right thing by stepping up and contacting our agency.”
