INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 2, 2014) — An Indianapolis mother was sentenced to serve time in prison in connection with the starving death of her baby boy.
Bambi Glazebrook, was arrested for murder in November 2013, after investigators found baby Phillip dead at the family home. Authorities said he weighed just 5 pounds. Charging documents show the baby was stiff by the time police arrived, meaning he’d likely been dead for hours.
Glazebrook was sentenced to 45 years at the Department of Corrections. Fifteen of those years were suspended.
Court officials said they will consider a modification of the sentence if Glazebrook has a clean prison record after 20 years. In addition, she will be on probation for 10 years after her release. Glazebrook will also not be allowed to have unsupervised contact with children, or engage in any activities with children under 18 years of age.
