Model data is showing a rather robust .6 to .7 of an inch of rain for the overnight hours. Generally this type of set-up, a mid-level low sliding in ahead of a cold front with limited instability and moisture to work with, brings less than a quarter inch of rain. The NAM is really the only model showing this type of outcome for the overnight hours. Satellite data this morning supports the higher rain totals as the mid-level low is showcasing an impressive cloud structure. We will call for a half inch of rain or less with some localized higher rain totals through the overnight hours.
Yesterday we hit a high of 79 degrees. The pleasant conditions will stick around this morning. This afternoon we may see dew points ticking up and near 60°. If we are going to get a half inch of rain than they better tick up to near 60°. We will go 82° for today’s high temperature. The thirty year average high for today is 80 degrees. The record high for today is 98 degrees set back in 1933. Sunrise is at 6:17 with the sun setting at 9:11
