EDINBURGH, Ind. (June 8, 2014) — DNR officials say they have found the body of 17-year-old Jason Moran who’s been missing in the Big Blue River. Moran was found Sunday morning just after 10 at the base of the  Edinburgh Dam. Waters had receded enough for divers to safely attempt a search of the area just below the dam.

Moran has been missing since Friday after jumping into the water to save his friend, 16-year-old Sarah McLevish. Three other teens jumped into the water to help – Michael Chadbourne, 16, Trent Crabb, 17, and Mark Naley, 18. McLevish and Chadbourne were rescued from the waters and taken to Methodist hospital in critical condition. Crabb and Naley were checked by EMS, but did not need medical attention.
