IFD searches for two teens wanted for questioning in connection with four fires

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 14, 2014) —  Fire Investigators with the Indianapolis Fire Department are searching for two teens who are wanted for questioning in connection with four fires that were intentionally set at the Spanish Oaks Apartments, Saturday afternoon.

The fires, which were started in four different buildings were each extinguished quickly, but not before doing some damage.

Around 3:45 Saturday afternoon, fire crews were called to the 10400 block of East 37th Street and found a pair of shoes smoldering in the hallway.

Minutes later crews were called back to a nearby location for smoke showing from 3658 Wingate Court.

When the second engine arrived, they saw smoke coming from another nearby location, at 3630 Wingate Court.

Firefighters also found the door of the 3646 Wingate Court building on fire as well.

Witnesses describe one of the teens as a black male, about 6 feet, with short hair and skinny. He was seen wearing a blue long sleeve shirt with white squares and jeans and black converse shoes.

The second teen wanted for questioning is described as a black male with short hair and an earring. He was seen wearing a green and yellow shirt and jeans.
