Residents of Broad Ripple vote for a mayor

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 14, 2014) — Residents of Broad Ripple voted to elect a mayor of the north side neighborhood on Saturday evening.

The voting happened at the Sabbatical and Triton Tap from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Once voting was finished, Chez Roberts was named the first “Mayor of Broad Ripple” on Saturday evening.

He was awarded a key and a plaque to the village of Broad Ripple.  His responsibilities include  attending press conferences and keeping Broad Ripple a fun, safe and rewarding night life hot spot.
