ANDERSON (June 23, 2014) – The city of Anderson announced major plans to bring more jobs to the area.

The city wants to create 8,000 new jobs over the next decade. According to the Herald Bulletin, economic development officials hope to start 100 projects and attract 60 new companies. The goal is to add 800 new jobs every year over the next ten years.

The plan calls for $2.1 billion in capital investment from current businesses and new companies.
