Bomb threat at Fishers CVS forces evacuation, school lockdown

FISHERS, Ind (June 23, 2014)– Fishers police are investigating a bomb threat made to a CVS Monday.

The CVS is on 116th St. near Fishers Point Blvd. A bomb threat was called in around 5:30 p.m. The building is evacuated, and a K-9 squad was called to the scene.

Goddard School, which is nearby, was temporarily put on lockdown.

The Fishers Police Department posted the following statement on their Facebook page:

“Earlier this evening Fishers police officers responded to a bomb threat at the CVS Store located at 8929 E116th Street. The store was evacuated and traffic was diverted while officers and a police K-9 searched. A nearby Goddard School also activated their lockdown procedures until the all clear was given. Reporting a false threat is a serious crime. Detectives are asking anyone with information regrading this case to please call the Fishers Police Department at 317-595-3300.”
