DENVER, Ind. (June 23, 3014) – Kristin Hopkins had to have her feet amputated after she was trapped in her upside down car for nearly a week in late April.

Now, she’s getting closer to returning to her normal life.

She just got her prosthetics Friday.

As a mom, she’s seen four sets of first steps. Now it’s her turn.

Kristin said, “Yesterday afternoon I was bawling my eyes out just with the anticipation. So today…I’m calm!”

Kristin is also hopeful she’ll be home in a week or two.

One of her goals is to walk the cross country course where her son runs
