LAWRENCE, Ind. (June 28, 2014) — A man is in critical but stable condition after being hit by a box truck early Saturday morning.

The accident happened on Pendleton Pike just before 5AM.

Lawrence police say the man attempted to cross the road when a box truck going eastbound hit him. Police say the driver of the truck told them he was out on a regular delivery run and didn’t see the man in the road until it was too late.
