NWS confirms EF-1 tornado touched down in LaGrange Co. Tuesday morning

LAGRANGE CO., Ind. (July 1, 2014)– The National Weather Service has confirmed that a EF-1 tornado touched down early Tuesday morning near LaGrange, IN.

Storms ripped through Indiana late Monday night into early Tuesday morning, causing damage and producing strong winds.

The tornado in LaGrange Co. started around 1:30 a.m. Monday and lasted about ten minutes.

Tree limb damage was discovered, and some trees were uprooted.

The peak wind speed reached 95 mph, and the patch stretched for about a mile.

No injures have been reported.
