INDIANAPOLIS (July 1, 2014) – An overturned semi shut down several lanes on Interstate 70 near downtown Indianapolis.

It happened Tuesday morning in the eastbound lanes of I-70 near the I-65 north split at mile marker 83.3. The right four eastbound lanes of I-70 were shut down.

Indiana State Police said they weren’t aware of any injuries involved with the crash, adding that the accident involved a small fuel spill. A hazmat team was being dispatched.

ISP said the truck was hauling metal, and some of the load is in the median. State police estimated it would take two hours to clean everything up.
