INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 1, 2014)—The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating a man wanted on criminal deviate conduct and kidnapping charges.

Police said the suspect forced a 14-year-old girl at gunpoint into his tan or silver four-door Ford Taurus and then forced her to perform sex acts before he let her go.

The incident occurred on June 18 at approximately 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the First Cash Pawn located at 9021 East 38th Street.

The suspect was described to be a white male in his 40s with grayish hair, wearing an orange collared shirt.

“It breaks my heart to hear something like that,” said Tajuanda Dobbins, a mother of a teenaged daughter. “Anything can happen. (There are) crazy people out here.”

That’s why police are asking parents to talk to their kids about staying in groups and what to do if a stranger ever approaches them.

“We know that in the summer time now, kids are gonna be out, they’re going to be together. And we encourage kids that if they’re gonna be outside, to stay together, stay as a group,” said Rafael Diaz, spokesman for IMPD.

Crime Stoppers is offering an award of up to $1,000 for information leading to the felony arrest of the suspect. Call 317-262-8477 if you have information.
