AVON (July 3, 2014) – Avon police say a man stole from eight businesses on the same day—and need the public’s help to find him.

In the early morning hours of June 29, detectives arrived to investigate a series of burglaries. Evidence at the scene connected them to Anthony Wayne Reed, 53, Indianapolis. Detectives said investigators from Brownsburg and Westfield had investigated Reed in previous burglary cases.

Reed has two pending cases stemming from a string of burglaries from December 2013 and faces charges in Hamilton and Hendricks counties. He’s also served time for burglary and theft cases. He was released from the Hamilton County Jail on June 19.

Anyone with information about Reed’s whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS.
