(July 3, 2014) – Starting every July 1 and running throughout “National Ice Cream Month,” the “I Pledge Project” rewards children across America for their patriotism by offering them free ice cream just for reciting the Pledge of Allegiance by memory.

The “I Pledge” campaign was launched by Leopold’s Ice Cream in Savannah four years ago as a way to emphasize the importance of patriotism among school children.

Leopold is challenging all independent ice cream stores nationwide to take part in the pledge.
