UPDATE: Police locate 78-year-old man with dementia

UPDATE (July 3, 2014)– Police say 79-year-old Sherman Grayson has been located and reunited with family.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 2, 2014) – IMPD is looking for a 78-year-old man with dementia.

At 10:29 p.m., IMPD officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of North Park Avenue on a report of a missing person.

Officers were advised by family members that Sherman Grayson, 78, had not returned home when he left at around 8:30 p.m. this evening.

Grayson was last seen walking eastbound on E 38th Street from North Park Avenue.

Officers were also advised that Mr. Grayson suffers from dementia.

Sherman Grayson is a black male, measuring 5’8”-5’9”, weighing 125 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a dark colored baseball cap, a blue and white striped shirt with a denim collar, black jeans and black, blue and white Reebok tennis shoes.

If anyone sees Mr. Grayson, we urge that they call 9-1-1 immediately.
