Columbus police search for suspect in armed robbery

COLUMBUS, Ind (August 1, 2014)– Columbus Police are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery.

Shortly after 6 p.m. Friday, police received an alarm run to the Check N Go at 2634 Eastbrook Plaza in Columbus.  When they arrived, they found employees had been robbed at gunpoint of an undisclosed amount of money.  The suspect showed a silver semi-automatic firearm and took employees to a back bathroom.

Suspect described as a black male, mid to late 20s, 5’8”, medium build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black t-shirt, light colored shorts.

No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery.
