Zionsville mom shaves head to spread awareness for childhood cancer

Local mom Lori Del Vecchio is helping pay it forward in honor of her daughter. Along with 45 other moms, Lori shaved her head at the fifth annual St. Baldrick's event in Massachusetts. Lori's daughter, Emily, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in 2011. Emily underwent 15 months of treatment but lost her battle with cancer in May 2012. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven and donor-centered charity dedicated to funding childhood cancer research.
