The Colts acquired running back David Fluellen from the Philadelphia Eagles.

INDIANAPOLIS – Ryan Grigson is once again looking for ways to add a bit of depth to running back position.

On Wednesday the Colts pulled a minor trade as they picked up running back David Fluellen from the Philadelphia Eagles for kicker Cody Parkey.

The Colts also waived running back Phillip Tanner.

Fluellen, who played his college football at Toledo, played in the Eagles’ first preseason game in Chicago. Against the Bears he rushed for 25 yards on six carries and caught a 14-yard touchdown.

Meanwhile the team continues to prepare for it’s biggest game of the preseason on Saturday night. As with many other years the Colts’ third preseason game will feature their starters playing a majority of the game.

Andrew Luck and the starting offense along with the defense will see at least a full half of work and may even play into the third quarter against the Saints at Lucas Oil Stadium at 8 P.M.
