Crews battle massive flames caused by truck fire near southside business
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Aug. 24, 2014) — Four trucks caught fire on the south side of Indianapolis early Sunday morning, sparking massive flames at a business.
It happened just after 2 a.m. in the 5100 block of South Harding Street, at Stoops Freightliner .
Hazmat crews were called out because of a possible diesel fuel leak into nearby drains.
It took crews a little under an hour to extinguish the fire. The damage is estimated to be around $450,000, including the semis lost in the fire.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
