Lafayette police look for suspect in robbery

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Aug. 24, 2014) — A woman was hit in the face with a handgun in a robbery early Sunday morning.

Police say a man attacked her near 8th and Ferry streets, then took off running with her purse.

The victim suffered minor injuries and didn’t need to go to the hospital.

Lafayette police are now looking for the suspect. He’s described as a black male, medium build, about 5’7″, wearing dark clothing.
