Lightning likely cause of fire at Fountain Square building

INDIANAPOLIS (August 26, 2014) -- Lightning is likely to blame for a fire that damaged a building in Fountain Square Monday night.

Firefighters were called to the 1000 block of Virginia Ave. Monday around 9 p.m. The three-story building houses a frozen yogurt shop named Frozen Swirl and several other businesses. The third floor was vacant at the time of the fire.

It took crews about an hour to get the fire under control. Damage is estimated at $200,000.
