IFD battles house fire on east side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (August 25, 2014) – The Indianapolis Fire Department battled a house fire on the city’s east side early Monday morning.

The fire was in the 2900 block of North Ritter Avenue.

Crews arrived on scene to find heavy flames coming from the rear of the residence.

IFD was able to get the fire under control in about 15 minutes.

The house is occupied, but no one was inside at the time of the fire.
