INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 8, 2014)—Seven deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were disciplined following the premature release of two inmates.

The sheriff’s office said discipline ranged from termination to letters of caution and remedial training.

On Aug. 19, officials said inmates Tiara Duff and Rajan Pratt were processed at the arrestee processing center but were prematurely transported to the Marion County Community Corrections, where they were later released on electronic monitoring.

Three days later, Duff and Pratt returned to court and were placed back into MCSO custody.  Authorities said Duff paid her bond and is free pending a trial.  Pratt was still in custody as of Monday.
