INDIANAPOLIS, Ind (Sept. 13, 2014) — A woman had just been in one accident, when she lost control of her car, with her child inside and crashed again.

Police say just before 12:30 Saturday morning, the woman was in a minor accident with an SUV on 30th Street near Mitthoefer. She got out of the car to talk to the other driver, then returned to her car and drove off down 30th St. That’s when police say she lost control of her car, right before Post Road, and the vehicle ended up on its side, trapping her inside.

Her child was also in the car but was either out of the vehicle when first responders arrived or was pulled out quickly. The details were not immediately clear. The woman though, did have to be extricated from the car.

The child was taken to Riley Children’s Hospital in critical condition. The mother was also taken to the hospital. No word on her condition.
