Brown County crash injures Indianapolis man

BROWN COUNTY, Ind. (September 14, 2014) — An Indianapolis man is recovering after an off-road vehicle crash in Brown County.

53-year-old Chris Niemeyer was riding his Polaris 800 Sportsman ORV on his property when he lost control. The OVR flipped and rolled on top of him, injuring Niemeyer’s head and chest. Brown County EMS responded and transported him to Van Buren School, where he was picked up by Life Line and flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Niemeyer was not wearing a helmet or any other protective gear. The accident is still under investigation.
