CROWN POINT, In  (Sept. 14, 2014) — A Gary woman is facing charges for allegedly driving drunk with her young daughter in the vehicle.

Indiana State Police responded to a car crash Sunday morning at approximately 7:30 a.m., on I-80 east bound at the 11.7 mile marker.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Tandriel Hollinquest, 23,  missed an exit and hit a concrete barrier wall. Hollinquest had a 2-year-old daughter that was in the back seat in a child safety seat. Further investigation revealed that Hollinquest was intoxicated. No one was hurt in the crash.

Arrangements were made that a friend/co-worker would come to the scene to pick up Hollinquest’s daughter. Police say Terrence Hunter, 40, Portage, arrived in a Lincoln Navigator, and it became apparent that he was also intoxicated.

Both Hollinquest and Hunter were arrested and taken to Lake County Jail in Crown Point.
