Man in critical condition after bar dispute ends with shooting on the east side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 8, 2014) – A man is in critical condition after a shooting on the city’s east side Thursday morning.

The shooting happened around 12:40 a.m. near the intersection of East 21st Street and North Post Road.

Officers responded to the scene on a shots fired run.

When they arrived they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound just below the chin in the parking lot of Post Pub. He was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition, and is expected to survive.

According to police, there was a dispute between two men inside the bar. The men took the argument outside and that's when shots were fired. Police are still searching for the suspect.
