INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 19, 2014) -- Rallying for peace, hoping for justice.

Family and friends of Dominique Allen gathered in downtown Indianapolis to call for the person who killed her, then burned her body, to surrender.

Police have received hundreds of tips, none that have led to an arrest. Dominique's sister has a strong message to the killer.

"We forgive you, we just want justice to be served. Just turn yourself in, it's all we're asking," said Mareeka Allen.

"You took away of ray of sunshine, from us, and we will never get it back," said Shenika Poindexter, Dominique's other sister.

Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say Allen, 15, was abducted early in the morning August 31, while sitting outside her sister's house on N. Mount St. Police say she was driven to an abandoned home at 10th St. and Lynn St. where she was strangled. Allen was then set on fire behind this home in the 1100 block of Elder Ave.

"This case is one of the most significant homicides in the city this year," said Commander David Hoffman, IMPD's Southwest District.

He said they need more tips, and that specific one that gets a killer off the streets.

"We have confidence, somebody knows something about what happened to Dominique Allen. And as our faith-based partners behind us have all said, all we need is just that little nugget, we need somebody to come forward and bring us that little bit of information," said Cmdr. Hoffman.

Reverend Smith, Dominique Allen's uncle, has a message to his niece's killer.

"I know your conscience is bothering you, so I would ask also that you do the right thing and come forward," he said.

If you have any kind of information to help police, you can call IMPD or stay anonymous and call Central Indiana Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS.
