New Palestine quarterback Alex Neligh looks downfield in the Dragons' 56-7 win over Pendleton Heights.

PENDLETON – When it comes to the football played by the team in predominantly red in the Hoosier Heritage Conference, most of the games haven’t been much of a brawl.

Most of these football fights would be called at halftime.

As they have for the past year-and-a-half New Palestine continued to dominate in conference in Fox 59’s Backyard Brawl game at Pendleton Heights, racing out to a 28-point halftime lead and winning it 56-7.

Noah Grable (51 yards) and Garrett Kuhn (85 yards) had long touchdown receptions from quarterback Alex Neligh in the first half to put this victory away and give the Dragons a 5-0 record on the season.

This win represents their 14th-straight regular season victory dating back to the 2013 season. In those games the closest any team has come in the final score to New Palestine is 20 points and that came late last season.

Past the halfway point of the regular season the Dragons are the only team in the conference with an undefeated record having outscored their opponents 238-29.

What also helps out New Palestine is the fact that they've already beaten the 2nd place (Yorktown) and 3rd Place (Mount Vernon) teams in the conference already. A match-up with 5th place Greenfield-Central at home is up next week with 4th place Shelbyville on the docket for October 3rd.
