Man robbed, stabbed on city’s near east side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 26, 2014) – A man was robbed and stabbed on the city’s near east side Friday morning.

The incident happened in the 500 block of North Dearborn Street at about 2:15 a.m.

According to police, the man was stabbed multiple times and robbed in an alley.

The man staggered to the street, and he saw a house with its porch light on.

The man knocked on the door and asked for help before collapsing.

When police arrived he was unconscious and in serious condition. He was transported to Eskenazi Hospital and is currently critical but stable.

Police don’t know anything about suspects at this point in time due to the fact that the man is still unconscious.
