Robert Downey Jr. previews movie at Heartland Film Festival

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Oct. 4, 2014) -- Robert Downey Jr. visits the Circle City this weekend. The actor was in town ahead of the Heartland Film Festival.

He attended a special kickoff screening event at the AMC Theater at Castleton Square Mall, Friday night, previewing the highly-anticipated movie "The Judge."

The movie features several big names, including Downey, Jr. He plays Henry "hank" Palmer, a successful lawyer who returns to his hometown of Carlinville, Indiana, for his mother's funeral. That's when he discovers that his estranged father is suspected of murder. Carlinville is a fictitious Indiana town.

"The Judge" will be released next Friday at theaters nationwide.

In its 23rd year, the Heartland Film Festival is Indiana's largest and longest-running independent film festival. It runs from October 16th through the 25th.
