WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (Oct. 14, 2014) – When an state trooper found a truck going 98 miles an hour on an Indiana interstate, he found the driver was an 87-year-old man who was lost—and in the wrong state.

The trooper pulled the 2013 Dodge Ram over on I-64 near Lynnville. The trooper noted that the man appeared confused, telling police he thought he was driving around southern Georgia.

The trooper got a cell phone number for a family member who revealed they’d been looking for the man all night. The man lives in Cornelia, Ga.

Troopers took the driver to Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh for observation. Family members were planning to pick him up.
