Marion County deputy investigated on allegation of being intoxicated at work

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Oct. 17, 2014)—A deputy with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department accused of being intoxicated at work was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.

Officials confirm to FOX59 Deputy Antonio Coleman was placed on leave on Oct. 8 following allegations he had alcohol on his breath while working.

Coleman, who has been with the sheriff’s department for nine years, works security at the Indianapolis City-County Building.

The department’s internal affairs branch is handling the investigation.
