Four people shot in three separate shootings overnight

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind (Oct. 18, 2014) — IMPD is investigating three separate shootings that left four people injured late Friday night into early Saturday morning.

A man was shot on the northeast side, in the 9300 block of East 42nd Street around 11:30 Friday night. IMPD dispatchers say he was taken to Eskenazi in critical condition.

Then right around midnight, a woman was shot on the near northeast side, near 30th Street and Keystone Avenue. She managed to drive herself to a nearby gas station for help. She ended up at the Ricker’s gas station at 38th Street and Fall Creek Parkway, where an ambulance took her to Eskenazi in stable condition.

About 40 minutes later, shots rang out outside a near eastside bar. It happened at Riff Raff’s, in the 2400 block of English Avenue.

Two women were shot. One woman was hit in the stomach, with a graze wound to her leg. Both victims were taken to IU Methodist Hospital awake and breathing, with non-life threatening injuries.

Police took one suspect into custody in that incident.
