PAW PAW, Mich. (Oct. 21, 2014) – She wanted another drink, so she stopped at a bar.

Except the bar happened to be the entrance to a jail.

That’s what happened early Sunday morning to a 39-year-old Michigan woman, according to WXMI.

She thought she’d parked at a bar, but her car was in the parking lot at the Van Buren County Jail instead.

“One of the jailers noticed the vehicle pull up in the receiving bay, subsequently called attention to one of our deputies,” Sgt. Ron Douglas told the TV station.

A deputy who approached the woman smelled alcohol on her breath. She tested for more than twice the legal limit, police said.

She was taken to jail…which wasn’t a very far trip at all.
