Monument Circle reopened to traffic after suspicious item investigation

Indianapolis, IND. — Indiana State Police around 4 p.m. on Saturday, police received a call about a suspicious item found on Monument Circle.

State Police say the item turned out to be a duffel bag with someone’s personal items in it, such as a water bottle and clothes.

The bag did not pose a threat to the public, but traffic was closed to a portion of the circle while police investigated the bag.

Monument Circle has since reopened to traffic.
